The hokka corporate philosophy

At hokka, with safety and peace of mind as our utmost priorities, we aim to make treats that are loved by people of all ages.

Although we might not quite be keeping with the times and latest trends, it’s our aim to make treats that everyone from children through to older people can enjoy together with peace of mind because of their simplicity.
For hokka, which turns 95 in 2013, this obsession is a theme we have had from day 1, and will continue to have into the future.

By providing delicious treats to the market at an appropriate price we hope to deliver smiles to as many customers as possible.

Filled with our desire for children to grow up in good health, hokka’s biscuits for infants became loved all over Japan shortly after the end of World War 2.
During that time, we learned that our treats, each one filled with our hopes and desires, were bringing smiles to people across Japan.
Past or present, this remains unchanged. This is our belief at hokka, as we continue to make our treats.

At hokka, we are proud of our products and manufacturing techniques, and are contributing to the passing on of treat making culture.

In Japan the Kanpan hardtack has evolved into its present form as a food with a long shelf life that is able to be made from a small number of ingredients while being highly portable, storable and nutritional.
Beginning with our Kanpan hardtack, we believe it is our bestowed duty to pass on our treat making culture to future generations.
